STEUBENVILLE – Junior Elizabeth McNulty followed up her impressive weekend at the Chatham Invite for the Franciscan swimming and diving team with her first weekly honor of the season from the AMCC. The junior was named the AMCC Swimmer of the Week, Monday.
McNulty won four individual events and took third in two others . McNulty kicked off her individual events with a third-place finish in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 35.61. McNulty earned her first individual win in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:21.56, .23 ahead of the second-place swimmer. That win kicked off a string of three-straight wins for McNulty. In her next event, McNulty captured first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:02.45. The junior's third win of the day came in the 100-yard breaststroke as she finished a full three seconds ahead of the next swimmer at 1:12.52. McNulty narrowly missed her fourth-straight win as she took third in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 29.34, just half a second off of the first place finish. The Herndon, VA native wrapped up her individual events as she claimed first in the 200-yard butterfly. McNulty dominated the pool with a time of 2:18.90.
The Lady Barons travel to Penn State Altoona on Saturday, November 5 for a 1pm meet.
