FUS Falls to Washington and Jefferson

WASHINGTON, PA. - It was a tough night for the Franciscan University of Steubenville Lady Barons as they returned home Wednesday, Oct. 1, after falling to Washington and Jefferson College 3-0.

The Lady Barons were out-shot and out-possessed by the competition. W&J Junior Spencer Ahrenholtz dominated the field, scoring all three goals of the game, with two in the first half and one in the second.

FUS Keeper Nikki Traylor made a total of five saves, putting in a good performance, but without success on the offensive the Lady Barons weren't able to come out on top.

The Lady Barons' record now stands at 5-5-1. They will be hoping to come away with a victory as they face Penn State Altoona in their next game, Saturday at 1 p.m. on their home field.
