Box Score FUS Men's Soccer Falls To Penn State Behrend

STEUBENVILLE, OH- Franciscan University of Steubenville men's
soccer team lost to Penn State Behrend on Wednesday, dropping the
Barons' record to 6-7-1 (2-4) on the season.
The first half started tough with Ahmad Salim scoring in the
second minute to put the Lions on top, 1-0, quickly. Brian Bodnar
scored less than a minute later to put Penn State up 2-0, which
they would hold for the rest of the half.
The second half did not fare much better for the Barons, who
were unable to find an offensive flow. They held the Lions
scoreless until the final minute of the game when Salim would get
his second goal of the game on a beautiful bicycle kick down the
middle to finalize the score at 3-0.
Senior goalkeeper Bill Herrmann, a Catholic Central grad, had
five saves in goal for Franciscan University. Sophomore Steve Duran
led the Barons with two shots on goal followed by three players
with one a piece.
The Barons will look to bounce back from the loss on Saturday as
they face conference opponent La Roche College on Saturday October
at 3 p.m. on the Steubenville campus.
