Box Score Lady Barons Shutout Muskies 4-0
STEUBENVILLE, OH. - The Franciscan University of Steubenville
Lady Barons celebrated a 4-0 victory over the Mt. Aloyisius College
Mounties Tuesday, Sept. 23.
The Lady Barons out-shot the Muskies 35-2. Senior Kendra
Evangelho led the way for the Lady Barons, claiming two of the four
goals, scoring the first in the 7th minute of the game,
assisted by Freshman Elisabeth Hofer. FUS Senior Kelly Koehr
followed with a goal also assisted by Hofer, who had a total of
three assists for the game.
The Lady Barons continued to play strong in the second half -
Evangelho scoring again in the 47th minute and Freshman
Audrey Flethcher scoring in the 68th, with an assist
from Freshman Kelsey Bowers.
Head Coach Patrick Doering remarked, "We played well as a team
today and everyone got a lot of playing time. Mount Aloyisius is a
rebuilding program and they played really well. They played a tough
game."
The Lady Barons record now stands at 4-3-1. Their next game will
be Wednesday, Sept. 24, at home at 5:30 p.m. facing Waynesburg
University.
