Barons lose fourth
game in a row
BETHANY, WV - Franciscan University of Steubenville men's
basketball team lost their fourth game in a row on Monday at
Bethany College, 93-56. The Barons' record for the season now
stands at 3-7 (0-4).
The Barons were outscored 50-25 in the first half and were
unable to close the gap in the second, as Bethany racked up 43 more
points and the Barons only 31.
Junior Josh Ducoulombier was the top-scorer of the game with 19
points, eight boards, and now averages 15.0 points per game for the
Barons. Senior Robert Slattery had 11 points and six rebounds, and
Senior Curtis Allen had nine points for the Barons. Sophomore
Andrew Kay had seven boards and Junior Pete Burak had four.
Ducoulombier, Slattery and Freshman Sam Titus all claimed two
assists.
Bethany had a three-way tie for their top-scorer, with Dakota
Matz, Joe Testa and Lance Beckwith all claiming 12 points helping
lead their team to victory.
The Barons look to end their losing streak as they play Mt.
Aloysius College away on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
