Barons drop Five-In-a-Row
Cresson, PA - Franciscan University Barons men's basketball lost
another close game Wednesday (88-80) to the Mounties of Mount
Aloysius. The Barons record now stands at 3-8 (0-5).
The Barons were only down 43-41 going into the half and they
tied the game 72-72 with five minutes remaining. With one minute
left, Barons senior captain Robert Slattery made two free-throws
making the score 85-80. Slattery had a spectacular game with 30
points six rebounds, and two steals.
"Robert (Slattery) had a great game," commented Coach Donovan.
"The entire team played well. We had a couple of key players foul
out at the end of the game and could not get ahead of them."
The Barons will continue to look for their first conference win
on the road Saturday against second place Penn State Behrend.
