Barons Continue Losing Streak against Penn St. Behrend
ERIE, PA - The Franciscan University of Steubenville's men's
basketball team lost their sixth game in a row 72-50 Saturday
against the Penn St. Behrend Lions, putting their record for the
season at 3-9 (0-6).
The Lions held a 15-point lead at half-time over the Barons, the
scoreboard at 36-21. In the second half, the Barons battled back
but were unable to overcome Behrend's scoring defense, which is
ranked second in the AMCC.
FUS Senior Curtis Allen and Junior Josh Ducoulombier lead
scoring for the Barons with 10 points each, Ducoulombier had 12
rebounds and Allen claimed three. Freshman Sam Titus and Junior
Pete Burak lead the scoring next with eight points apiece. Senior
Robert Slattery claimed four rebounds and Sophomore Andrew Kay had
three.
Adam Kaiser was the top-scorer for Penn St. Behrend, racking up
16 points for the Lions, including three three-pointers in the
first half.
The Barons' next game is on Monday against the University of
Pittsburgh at Greensburg Bobcats at 8 p.m. on the Barons' home
court.
