Box Score Barons Lose to Pitt-Greensburg 66-61

STEUBENVILLE, OH - Franciscan University of Steubenville men's
basketball team lost Monday night 66-61 in a heartbreaker to the
Bobcats of University of Pittsburg-Greensburg. The Barons are now
3-10 (0-7) for the season.
The Barons dominated the first half leading the game 34-22 going
into the locker room. Junior Josh Ducoloumbier led the team making
nine of his 12 points in the first while the Barons shot 44.8
percent (13-29) from the floor.
The Bobcats came roaring back in the second to tie the score
46-46 with ten minutes remaining. The teams evenly exchanged
baskets when Greensburg scored nine unanswered points in the last
2:30. The Barons made a last minute effort with four points in the
last ten seconds.
Senior captain Rob Slattery led all scorers with 21 points and
now averages 13.1 points a game. Ducoloumbier was second for the
Barons followed by Curtis Allen with eight and Pete Burak with
seven. The Bobcats where led by Senior Daniel Waajid, who had the
only double-double of the game with 19 points and 18 rebounds.
The Barons look to end a seven game losing streak at home on
Wednesday against Medaille College at 7:30 p.m.
