Box Score Barons Fall To Mavericks 77-57

STEUBENVILLE, OH - Franciscan University of Steubenville men's
basketball team dropped its second home game in a row to the
Mavericks of Medaille College on Wednesday night 77-57.
Franciscan's record is now 3-11 (0-8) on the season.
Franciscan University shot 51.6 percent (16-31) and Medaille
shot 60.7 percent (17-28) from the floor. Barons junior Josh
Ducoulombier was the leading scorer with 18 of his team high 27
points coming in the first half. Senior captain Robert
Slattery contributed with 12 points. Freshman Sam Titus played well
at the point position as the Barons went into the half trailing
41-34.
The second half saw Medaille take control with five minutes left
and pull away for the victory. The Mavericks continued their
stellar shooting, going 60.9 percent from the floor. Sophomore
Ricky Reed led Medaille with 21 points.
The Barons will prepare to face the University of Pitt-Bradford
on the road Saturday at 4:00pm.
