Pittsburgh, PA-The Franciscan University of Steubenville's men's
cross country team competed at the Carnegie Mellon Invite at
Schenley Park. The men, missing two varsity runners, placed 11th
out of 14 teams with 330 points.
Freshman Jack Kaiser was first to finish the 8k race by scoring
47 points in a time of 28:29 minutes. Sophomore Kevin Leroy
finished closely with a 29:08 minute finish. Freshman Michael Gotta
completed the race in 30:57 followed by sophomore Marcus Fluty in
31:19 and sophomore Matt Krepel in 31:37. Carnegie Mellon
University also won the men's race with 29 points total.
The men's team has only two races left in the season. They
will be competing at Oberlin College on October 17th starting at
10:30 a.m. The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Cross
Country championships will be held on October 31st in Eerie, PA
starting at 1 pm.
