Lady Barons Swept by Frostburg

FROSTBURG, MD - The Lady Barons volleyball team of Franciscan University of Steubenville traveled to Frostburg on Wednesday night. The Lady Barons gave a valiant effort against an extremely talented team, but lost in three games, 16-25, 13-25, 12-25.

With the loss, the Lady Barons fell to 8-11 (1-5) on the season. Meg Kay led the Lady Barons with 5 kills, while Anna Cain had 4. Paddy Scott had 9 assists, while Nicole Henson continued her outstanding play at libero with 16 digs on the night.

"They are a very good team," Lady Barons coach Kelly Herrmann remarked in a post-game interview. "They hit hard from every position, and don't make mistakes. We had a few errors, and they took advantage of them. We didn't play our best today, but Frostburg is a truly formidable opponent."

The Lady Barons will travel to Medaille on Saturday, October 17th for their next match.
