STEUBENVILLE, OH - The Lady Barons of Franciscan University of Steubenville hosted Carlow University on Wednesday night. Lauren Miller's goal in the second half gave Franciscan a 2-1 lead which they never relinquished. With the win, the Lady Barons improved to 5-8-1 (3-4) on the season.

Kelly O'Brien led the Lady Barons on the night with 5 shots (4 on goal). Erin Fitzpatrick had 3 shots (2 on goal), while Lauren Miller had 3 shots and a goal. Stacey Lancour added the second goal for the Lady Barons. Olivia Clark had 4 shots (2 on goal) for Carlow, and Heather Buck scored.

"We played a really solid game today," Lady Barons coach Johann Marin remarked in a post-game interview. "Everything really came together for us, especially offensively. We passed well, and our cuts were sharp. Kelly O'Brien, Lauren Miller, and Maryann Krilich had outstanding games for us tonight."

The Lady Barons' next contest is at Penn State Behrend this Saturday at 1 p.m.
