MEDAILLE, PA - The Lady Barons of Franciscan University of
Steubenville traveled to Medaille on Saturday afternoon, losing in
3 games, 17-25, 19-25, 22-25. With the loss, the Lady Barons fell
to 8-12 (1-6) on the season. Nicole Henson had a strong performance
in the first game with 10 digs. In the second game, Henson had 6
more digs, while Meg Kay had 6 kills and Teresa Marcotte had 6
assists.
In the final game, Kay had 5 kills, while Marcotte had 5
assists. "We played better and better as this match went on," Lady
Barons coach Kelly Herrmann remarked in a post-game interview. "We
came out flat in the first game, were competitive in the second,
and made a very good showing in the third. When you're playing a
difficult team like Medaille, though, you can't afford to fall
behind early like we did today."
The Lady Barons' next contest is at home against OSU Marion this
Tuesday at 7 p.m.
