Lady Barons Fall to Pitt-Greensburg

PITTSBURGH, PA - The Lady Barons traveled to Pitt-Greensburg on Wednesday night for an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference match, losing in three games, 25-21, 23-25, 14-25, 22-25.  With the loss, the Lady Barons fell to 8-14 (1-7) on the season.

Several Lady Barons posted impressive numbers in the loss.  Anna Cain and Meghann Maccoun each had 8 kills.  Captains Teresa Marcotte and Paddy Scott also made a good showing with 10 and 6 assists, respectively.  Libero Nicole Henson had an exceptional game with 22 digs, while Meg Kay and Julie Matanzo had 11 apiece.

"We came out strong tonight, but were just unable to keep it up for the entire match," Lady Barons coach Kelly Herrmann remarked in a post-game interview.  "There are no easy games in our conference, and we have to be playing at our best if we're going to get conference wins."

The Lady Barons' next contest is at home against AMCC opponent Hilbert College at 1 p.m.
