Barons Win Thriller in 2 OT

STEUBENVILLE, OH - The Barons soccer team of Franciscan University of Steubenville hosted Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent Pitt-Greensburg on Wednesday afternoon, winning 2-1 in the second overtime period. With the victory, the Barons improved to 9-6 (6-3) on the season.

Steve Duran led the Barons on the day with 6 shots (3 on goal), while assisting on both goals. Bill Milburn had the Barons' first goal of the day, while senior Zeph Swope had the game-winner in overtime. "This was a long, hard game today," Barons assistant coach Tommy Lahey remarked post-game. "We played them tough every step of the way, and never stopped fighting, and we finally came out on top with that hard-earned goal in the second overtime."

The Barons have their final game of the season at home against Frostburg next Tuesday at 3 p.m.
