Lady Barons Fall to Mount Aloysius

CRESSON, PA - The Lady Barons volleyball team of Franciscan University of Steubenville traveled to Mount Aloysius on Wednesday night, losing 16-25, 21-25, 24-26. With the loss, the Lady Barons fell to 5-10 (1-4) on the season.

Several Lady Barons posted impressive numbers in the loss. Meg Kay was the offensive standout with 18 attack attempts on the night, while Anna Cain had 5 kills. Captains Paddy Scott and Teresa Marcotte had solid performances with 8 and 7 kills, respectively. Libero Nicole Henson continued her solid play with 20 digs.

"This was a tough loss tonight," Lady Barons coach Kelly Herrmann remarked in a post-game interview. "We played them close in two of the matches, but were unable to pull out a win. We had less errors tonight than in Saturday's match, but we still had some, and that was what cost us the match."

The Lady Barons will take on La Roche at home this Saturday at 11 a.m.
