The Barons of Franciscan University of Steubenville traveled
Lycoming College on Saturday, losing 84-53. With the loss,
the Barons fell to 0-2 (0-0) on the season.
The Barons trailed 40-25 at half, and were unable to keep pace
with Lycoming's talented squad for the remainder of the game.
Barons guard Josh Ducoulombier led all scorers with 24
points. Connor Flanagan and Matt Liedel each had 9 points,
while Sam Titus and Pete Burak had 6 and 5 points,
respectively. Mike Bradley led Lycoming with 22 points, while
Jonathan Williams had 13 and Will Kelly 12 points.
Lycoming outshot Franciscan 40% to 27.6% on the night.
Lycoming shot 77% from the line to Franciscan's 75%, but the Barons
shot 21.4% from 3-point range to Lycoming's 18.2%.
The Barons' next contest is tomorrow at the Lycoming College
tournament, and the time is still to be announced.
