STEUBENVILLE, OH - The Barons basketball team of Franciscan University of Steubenville hosted Penn State-Behrend on Tuesday night, losing 74-51.  With the loss, the Barons fell to 1-3 (0-1) on the season.

The Barons shot out to an early lead in the game, taking a 5-0 advantage right away which they built into a 14-5 lead.  However, Penn State-Behrend battled back to take a 30-25 lead into halftime, and then blew the Barons away in the second half, quickly building a 20 point lead which eventually translated into a 74-51 victory.

Connor Flanagan and Matt Liedel were the offensive standouts for the Barons on the night with 12 points apiece.  Josh Ducoulombier had 10 points, while Mike Feuz and sam Titus and eight and seven points, respectively.  Chris Saltzman led Penn State-Behrend with 18 points, and teammates Adam Potter and Nick Colella had 15 and 10, respectively.

"We played an outstanding first 12 minutes of basketball," Barons coach Sean Donovan said.  "Behrend is the number two team in our conference, and we showed tonight that when we play our game, at our pace, we can compete with anyone in our conference.  However, we've played four games in six days, and we just didn't have enough in our legs tonight."

The Barons look to get their first win in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference on December 2 when they host Penn State-Altoona at 8 p.m.
