The Lady Barons shot 42.6% from the floor, including 52.4% from
beyond the arc. Marian Weber led the Lady Barons in scoring
with 11 points, while Nicole Naugle had 8 and Cara Mitchell and
Kristin Belleque had 7 apiece. Naugle is only 9 points away from
catching season point leader Mitchell who has 127.
Angelle Cupit continued to dominate the boards, leading the Lady
Barons with 7 rebounds, while Marian Weber added 6. Cupit leads the
teams in rebounds for the season with 99. Katie Moore and Maggie
Dalton were the scoring leaders for Pitt-Bradford with 15 points
each.
"We had trouble shooting today," Lady Barons Head Coach Kelly
Herrmann remarked in a post-game interview, "Against a team like
Pitt-Bradford, you have to shoot well. They shot over 70%
from three-point range in the first half, and it's tough to keep
that pace when you can't make your shots. They also
outrebounded us, which was disappointing. We only had seven
healthy players today, and it was difficult to match up against a
team like Pitt-Bradford with a full 15-player roster."
The Lady Barons next contest is Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Frostburg
State.
