Barons Go 0-2 at Penn State-Altoona

CRESSON, PA - The Barons baseball team of Franciscan University of Steubenville traveled to Penn State-Altoona for a double header on April 18, losing 11-4 and 24-1.  With the losses, the Barons fell to 3-23 (0-12) on the season.

Shortstop Anthony Pontarelli led the Barons in the first game with 2 hits.  First baseman Kevin Marrow had 1 hit and 1 RBI, while Nathan Cain and Ryan Marrow each had a hit for the Barons.  Third baseman Stiffler led Penn State Altoona in the first game with 1 hit, 4 RBIs, and 1 run scored.

The Barons were complete shut down by Penn State-Altoona in the second game of the double-header.  Kevin Marrow had 1 hit and 1 RBI, and Nathan Cain and Ryan Marrow had 1 hit apiece.

The Barons' next contest is a double-header at home tomorrow against Ohio State-Mansfield.
