Barons Go 0-2 at Medaille

BUFFALO, NY - The Barons baseball team of Franciscan University of Steubenville traveled to Medaille for a double header on April 25, losing 3-0 and 14-3.  With the losses, the Barons fell to 4-28 (1-16) on the season.

The Barons were completely shut down in the first contest, registering only 3 hits by Steve Jagla, Robert Marrow, and Samuel Quillen.  Catcher Behnke led Medaille in the game with 2 hits and 1 run scored.

The Barons had more offensive firepower in the second game, but it was not nearly enough to stop the juggernaut of Medaille.  Infielder Ryan Marrow led the Barons with 2 hits, 2 RBIs, and 1 run scored, while Steve Jagla had 1 hit and 1 RBI and Anthony Pontarelli had 1 hit and 1 run scored.  Shortstop Skinbinski led Medaille with 3 hits, 1 RBI, and 1 run scored.

The Barons' next contest is a rain date at home against La Roche on April 29.
