Men's Cross Country Compete at National Catholic Championship
South Bend, IN-The Franciscan University of Steubenville's men's
cross country team traveled to the University of Notre Dame on
Friday, September 18, to compete in the National Catholic
Championships. Missing one half of their varsity runners, the men
placed 29th out of 31 teams.
The men's team placed 22 out of 25 small division schools while
missing three of their top seven runners. Leading the team was
freshman Jack Kaiser finishing the 8k race by scoring 88 points
with a time of 28:43 minutes. Sophomore Kevin Leroy scored 116
points in 29:38 minutes followed by junior Jared Kimutis, who
finished in 31:21, junior Sonny Ramirez in 31:55, and sophomore
Jonah Carlstrom in 32:33 minutes.
The teams will compete next week at St. Vincent College in
Latrobe, PA. Race times will start at 10:30 a.m.
