STEUBENVILLE, OH - The Lady Barons of Franciscan University of Steubenville hosted on Hilbert on Saturday, dominating the contest by a score of 6-1. With the win, the Lady Barons improved to 2-5 (1-1) on the season, and took their first win in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.

Kelly O'Brien led the Lady Barons on the day with 8 shots (5 on goal) and 1 goal. Lauren Miller had 3 shots on goal, 1 goal, and 1 assist. Regina Recznik and Bernadette Schmitt each had 2 shots on goal and 1 goal. Kristin Busha and Maria Perdomo also had a goal apiece.

"I was very happy with how our offense picked up in this game," Lady Barons coach Johann Marin remarked in a post-game interview. "We had some missed opportunities early on, but we were able to capitalize more in the second half. I'm pleased with our performance today, the girls played a great game."

The Lady Barons will travel to Mount Aloysius College on Tuesday night for a 3 p.m. game.
