Box Score ALTOONA, PA – Franciscan University's women's
soccer team is still on the hunt for an offensive standout match
after falling to Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference opponent
Penn State Altoona Tuesday night. The Lady Barons were shutout 6-0,
dropping their season standing to 3-8-1 and 1-3-1 in the
conference.
"Altoona was very well organized," said head coach
Johann Marin. "They are very young but they played very well.
We just made too many mistakes."
Franciscan had two shots on goal for the game from Regina
Recznik and Amanda Looman both in the first half. The Lady Lions
had 25 shots on goal, with four goals coming in the first and two
goals coming in the second half. Lady Baron goalkeeper Lauren Koath
had eight saves in goal.
The Lady Barons will look to get out of their offensive slump
this Saturday, traveling to the University of Pitt-Bradford. Game
time is set for 1:00 p.m.
