Box Score BRADFORD, Pa.—The Franciscan University Lady Baron Soccer
team took on conference foe the Lady Panthers of University of
Pittsburgh at Bradford Saturday afternoon. An early second half
goal was all the Lady Panthers needed to secure the win, as they
shutout Franciscan 1-0. The Lady Barons now sit 1-4-1 in the
Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.
"We struggled with scoring," head coach Johann Marin said, "but
had many chances."
Neither team could much offense rolling, with Pitt-Bradford only
recording six shots on goal on the day compared to Franciscan's
three. The one shot that did find that back of the net was off the
foot of Lady Panther Lindsay Sherman in the 52 minutes into the
match.
"The team did well," Marin added, "however we did not convert
our chances and hence did not score."
The Lady Barons are now in a four-game losing streak, and look
to get back on track this Monday when they welcome Penn State
Beaver at 3 p.m.
