HAMBURG, N.Y. – Franciscan University's women's soccer team earned its second consecutive victory against the Lady Hawks of Hilbert College Saturday afternoon. The Lady Barons now stand 3-5-1 overall on the season and 1-0-1 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.

Anna Laudiero was the offensive star for the Lady Barons, finding the back of the net with her first goal of the season 31 minutes into the first half to give Franciscan the 1-0 lead. Laudiero would finish the game with four shots on goal; Amanda Looman shot five while Ann Heneberry, Clare Grchan and Megan Scanlan each tallied three shots on goal.

The Lady Barons held their defense for the entire second half to cement their win. Lady Baron goalkeeper Lauren Koath was key with 11 saves.

Franciscan continues conference play against La Roche College this Wednesday, October 6, at 2:00 p.m. on the campus of Franciscan University of Steubenville.
