NEW CONCORD, Ohio - The Franciscan University of Steubenville men's soccer team traveled to Muskingum University Saturday looking for its first win on the early season. Unfortunately for the Barons, Muskingum was riding a four game unbeaten streak that would not be put to an end. Losing 2-0 to the Fighting Muskies, the Barons are now stuck in a five game losing streak. 

Muskingum University spread their scoring out, getting one goal at the 34-minute mark from John Molnar off an assist from Adrian Matthews, and a second coming from Justyn Leist with the help of Zane Setterfield with 22 minutes left in the game.

The Muskingum offense seemed to be too much for the Baron defenders as they out-shot Franciscan by more than double in the contest, 21-8.

The Barons have over a week to regroup and look to get their season back on track when they visit Bethany College on Monday, September 20, at 4 p.m.
