STEUBENVILLE—Franciscan University of Steubenville's Lady Barons basketball team couldn't match the intensity of the La Roche College Lady Red Hawks Monday night, losing 70-47 on their home court. It's the fourth straight loss for the Lady Barons, as their season standings drop to 2-12.

"It's a disappointing loss," said head coach Luke Heusel. "La Roche is a really good team. We wanted to match their intensity, and we had a hard time doing that tonight."

The Lady Red Hawks shot 38% from the field and held a dominating free-throw percentage of 75. And again, the Lady Barons struggled to keep possession as La Roche totaled 24 points off turnovers.

This loss against the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's number four team pushes Franciscan's Lady Barons to a 1-8 conference standing.
