Buffalo, N.Y. -- The Franciscan University Baron basketball team hit number eight in its losing streak Sunday afternoon, falling 67-39 to the Medaille College Mavericks. The loss to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference No. 2 team left the Barons 0-8 on the season and 0-3 in the AMCC.

Frank Murray was the team's high-scoring player with 13 points on the day, followed by Matt Binder with 11 and Nolan Albrecht with eight.

Nolan Albrecht scored seven rebounds while Joe Spears and Andrew Kay each added five rebounds. Dan Kroening and Joe Spears each had three assists on the day.  

The Mavericks beat the Barons in rebounds 45-29. Franciscan had a game field goal percentage of 30.

The Barons host Ohio University Eastern at 6 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 15.
