Cresson, Pa. – The Franciscan University of Steubenville women's basketball team traveled to Mt. Aloysius Wednesday night where they lost to the Mounties, 74-62. The Lady Barons are now 1-16 on the season.

"The girls continued to play hard," said head coach Luke Heusel. "The defense overall is better with just a couple lapses and some big shots from Mount Aloysius at the right time that led to the loss."

The Lady Barons trailed the Mounties by only two points at the half 30-28. Heusel said it was a good effort that came up just a little short in the end.

Heusel noted three players exceptional play. Hannah Flanagan scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Lacey Huck scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Amy O'Keefe scored 17 points 6 rebounds on the night.

The Lady Barons play Medaille College, Saturday, at 3 p.m. at home.
