GREENSBURG, Pa.— Franciscan University's women's basketball team faced a tough game Wednesday night against the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg. Coming off a loss against Ohio University Eastern, the Lady Barons finished the game behind Pitt-Greensburg, 64-47. The loss leaves Franciscan with a 1-3 record in conference and 1-9 overall.

"It was a tough physical game," said head coach Luke Heusel. "The girls played hard. We're continuing to learn, and we have many more conference games to go."

The Lady Barons have 15 more conference games to continue to develop and improve their season record.

Freshman Amy O'Keefe finished the night with a game high of 15 points. Christine Conrad followed with 10. O'Keefe and Conrad also led the team in rebounds, eight and seven, respectively.

Franciscan next faces Hilbert College at home on Saturday, January 7, beginning at 5 p.m.
