WAYNESBURG, Pa - The Franciscan University Barons lost to Waynesburg University 44-95. The Barons battled hard with a depleted roster that only had seven available players while the Yellow Jacket's had 13.

"We had a tough night with only seven guys. We got outmanned," Baron's head coach John Lamanna said. "It's unfortunate because they gave a superb effort."

Freshman guard Daniel Kleinschnitz came out strong in only his second game of the season scoring 17 points, grabbing four rebounds and adding two assists.

The Barons did play strong in the paint scoring nearly half of their points under the rim. With almost half the roster numbers as their opponents, Coach Lamanna said his team gave everything they had.

"I'm extremely proud at the effort our guys gave. We played as hard as we could have," Lamanna said.

The Barons look to break out of their slump against Muskingum University as they enter in the New Year at home on January 2.
