Box Score ALTOONA, Pa.— Franciscan University traveled to Penn State Altoona Wednesday night to take on the Lions. Although the Barons outscored the Lions in the second half, they were unable to come back from large deficit and lost, 60-49.
"The first half was a real struggle but then we were able to collect ourselves in the second half," said Barons head coach John Lamanna. "We'd dug ourselves too deep of hole though to win it sadly."
The Barons were down 39-22 at the half.
Nolan Albrecht scored 16 points and 11 rebounds on the day. Frank Murray added 15 points and 4 rebounds.
The Barons only had 10 turnovers on the night opposed to the Lions 14. "We had the least amount of turnovers all season. It's great progress," said Lamanna.
The Barons face Penn State Behrend at home Saturday, Feb. 11. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
