STEUBENVILLE – Senior guard Iliana Gonzales grabbed her first weekly honor of the season when she was named AMCC Player of the Week for the week of November 22.

Gonzales has led the Lady Barons for the first three games of the season with an average of 26.3 points per game, including tying a season-high of 29 points against Geneva College.

For the week, the senior shot 15-of-33 from the floor, including 6-of-10 from beyond the three-point arc. Gonzales also shot 79 percent from the free-throw line (14-19) while also averaging 6.5 rebounds per game.

Additionally, Gonzales finished the week with two blocks, five steals, four assists and 13 rebounds.

Gonzales and the rest of the Lady Barons will return to the court tonight when Franciscan plays host to Grove City College at 6 p.m. before taking a break for Thanksgiving.
