STEUBENVILLE – Franciscan women's basketball could not find the back of the net in a 65-42 loss in the conference opener against Mount Aloysius. 

"We didn't play up to our expectations tonight," head coach Suzy Delaney said. "It was a very frustrating game and I didn't think our effort was there from the tip."

Seniors Stephanie Pahren and Iliana Gonzales led the Lady Barons with 14 points each while Pahren also led the team in rebounds, grabbing 14 boards for her first double-double of the season.

For Mount Aloysius, Abby Zinobile led the Mounties with 21 points and 14 rebounds. 

The Lady Barons will hit the road for their next game to take on Pitt.-Bradford on Saturday, December 5, at 3 p.m.

"We're looking forward to getting back to work these next couple of days in preparation for our next game on Saturday," Delaney said.
