STEUBENVILLE – The Franciscan volleyball team finished the year with a 5-4 record in the AMCC and earned the fourth-seed in the 2016 AMCC championship tournament. The Lady Barons will host D'Youville tonight in the quarterfinal match at 7pm.

Season Wrap-Up
The Lady Barons finished the regular season with a 7-20 record while going 5-4 in the AMCC. Franciscan fared better at home than away from Kuzma Court as the Lady Barons finished the year 6-3 at home, including a pair of wins in the AMCC quad match against Medaille and Hilbert.

Five of Franciscan's wins this year were a clean sweep of the opponent, while two of them the Lady Barons won 3-1. FUS ended the season with a 3-0 sweep of D'Youville last Saturday. 

Franciscan By The Numbers
Sophomore Maria Ciola leads the Lady Barons with 249 kills on the year and is averaging 2.57 kills per set. Ciola had 14 double-digit kill matches, including a seven-match streak during the middle of the season. Ciola had a career-day against Pitt.-Bradford with 16 kills, a career best, and 13 digs. Sophomore Becca Haven has been a steady force for the Lady Barons both at the net and controlling the offense. Haven has 433 assists on the season to go with her 142 kills, which is third-best for the team. Freshman Roz Pridemore broke out on the scene this year with 147 kills and averaged 1.62 kills per set this season. The freshman hit .244 for the year while posting a league-best 62 block assists and finished the year with 57.0 total blocks. 

Last Meeting
The Lady Barons and D'Youville are familiar foes as they met just last Saturday in the regular-season finale. Franciscan swept the Spartans 3-0 and hit .149 for the match. Haven and Pridemore each had six kills while senior Rachel Potopa dished out nine assists. Senior Mary Moore had 13 digs and Ciola finished with 12.
