Box Score 2 Buffalo, NY-The Lady Barons made the trip up to New York state dropping both games to host Hilbert College while only scoring one run between the two games. The Lady Barons fell 6-0 in the first game before dropping the night cap 10-1 in five innings.
The high hopes of Lady Barons in securing a victory was derailed with four errors, three passed balls and four walks aiding Hilbert with the wins.
In the second game, Lindsey Finch hit a double in the top of the fourth before moving to third after Renee Shumay reached on a fielder's choice. A wild pitch by the Hawk's pitcher allowed Finch to cross the plate and more Shumay to second but the Hawks stifled the Lady Barons' offense with a pair of strikeouts to end the inning.
The Lady Barons struggled at the plate only picking up six hits on the day. Defensively, they allowed 11 combined error between the two games.
The Lady Barons will play a make-up game tomorrow Sunday, April 24 against Medaille College beginning at 1:00 pm.
