Crotteau Led Barons at Notre Dame

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Reigning AMCC Runner of the Week freshman Matthew Crotteau led the Franciscan men's cross country team at the National Catholic Cross Country Meet hosted by the University of Notre Dame, Friday evening.

In the five-mile run, Crotteau took 90th place out of 200 runners with a time of 28:38.8; a 5:43.8/mile pace. Sophomores Nick Long and Grady Stuckman paced each other and finished within less thantwo seconds of each other as Long crossed the line at 28:56.9 and Stuckman at 28:58.5.

Will Blackley crossed the line 31:17.6 at the fourth Franciscan runner while Tim Jackson rounded out the runners for FUS with a 166th place finish at 31:40.5.

The Barons took 20th out of 28 teams and was the only AMCC team to compete at the meet.

The Franciscan runners host the Franciscan Invite next Saturday at 10:30 am.
