Barons Finish Fourth at Westminster

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Franciscan men's cross country team finished fourth out of six teams with 83 points at the Westminster Invite, Friday night. 

Leading the pack for the Barons was sophomore Nick Long. Long took fifth place overall and was the third Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference runner to cross the line with a time of 27:24.40.

Following closely behind Long was freshman Patrick Tansill. The rookie runner earned his first top-10 finish of the season with a time of 27:29.64.

Sophomore Grady Stuckman (28:19.85) and junior Will Blackley (29:51.93) were the next two Barons to cross the finish line in 17th and 25th place respectively.

Junior Tim Jackson opened the season with a run of 32:08.48 for 38th place while Emmett Delaney (32:31.18) and James Hildebrand (32:32.66) were the final two scoring runners for the Barons. Senior Jack Scott ran a time of 32:40.40 as the final runner for the Barons.

Franciscan returns to action on September 10 at the Bethany Invite hosted by Bethany College.
