NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Franciscan women's cross country team opened the season at the Westminster Invite and finished fourth out of seven teams with 98 points.
Grace Galligan led the Lady Barons with an impressive time of 24:36.86 for a fourth place finish and was the second Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference runner to cross the finish line.
Bernadette Williams took eighth with a time of 25:13.67 and sophomore Angela Penza took 22nd with a time of 26:27.32. Rose McGrath finished 33rd with a time of 27:05.64 to round out the Lady Baron runners.
Franciscan will return to the course on September 10 at the Bethany Invite.
