WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Franciscan women's cross country took fifth overall at the Washington & Jefferson Invitational, Friday afternoon, led by Bernadette Williams.
Williams took eighth overall in the 5K race with a time of 19:53.32. Junior Angela Penza was the next Lady Baron to cross the finish line in 25th place with a time of 21:40.70. Rose McGrath was right behind in 26th place with a time of 21:43.88. Suzie Krass was the fourth Lady Baron in the chute and took 35th place with a time of 23:09.63.
Jennifer Sullivan was the fifth Lady Baron across the line and finished with a time of 23:26.84 in 38th place while Kara Shaughnessy (23:56.14/40th) and Sarah Flickinger (24:29.39/46th) rounded out the scoring runners for the Lady Barons.
The Lady Barons take next week off but will host the Ninth Annual Kelly Roggensack Run on Oct. 8. There is still time to register here.
Franciscan will return to action on Oct. 15 as the runners head to the Oberlin Invite.
