NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – The Franciscan women's cross country team opened the year at the Fisher Invite Friday night with an eighth place team finish, led by junior Bernadette Williams.
Williams was the top FUS finisher as she crossed the line 12th with a time of 24:20.98. She was followed by newcomer Catherine Long who took 25th place overall with a time of 25:08.10. Carolyn Poston and Kara Shaughnessy took 56th and 57th overall with times of 27:29.61 and 28:02.34, respectively.
Morgan Litterer was the next Lady Baron to cross the line as she took 59th overall with a time of 29:28.57. Mary Grayson and Harper LaFond ran solid races for the Lady Barons as they rounded out the top-seven with times of 29:49.43 and 29:56.83 for 60th and 61st place.
The Lady Barons run at the Bethany Invite next Saturday at 10:30 am.
