CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Led by a pair of freshmen, the Franciscan men's cross country team took ninth overall out of 17 teams at the All-Ohio Meet, hosted by Cedarville, Friday afternoon.
Freshman Liam Galligan continues to impress in his first season as a Baron as he took 18th overall with a time of 26:22.4 in the 8K race. Classmate Mark Borek ran a 27:13.8 for 48th overall. Junior Nick Long continues to be a steady competitor for the Barons as he took 61st overall with a time of 27:46.9.
Junior Grady Stuckman was close behind Long as he came in at 27:48.7 and 63rd place. Freshman Athanasius Sirilla followed shortly behind Stuckman at 27:50.9 for 67th place.
Sophomore Matt Crotteau took 72nd with a time of 27:57.6 while classmate Joe Gallagher came in at 92nd with a time of 28:46.0 to round out the scoring runners for Franciscan.
The Barons take next week off before competing at the Intra-Regional Rumble hosted by Oberlin College on October 14.
