ERIE, Pa. – The Franciscan women's tennis team continued its hot streak against AMCC teams as the Lady Barons earned their sixth-straight shutout of a conference team with a 9-0 win over Penn St.-Behrend, Friday afternoon.
Fresh off a 9-0 win over Pitt.-Bradford, the Lady Barons stayed in champion form as they dropped only one set in all nine matches against the Lions.
Sophomore Grace Hammel and senior Emmy Mathias turned in the only perfect match of the afternoon as the duo defeated their No. 3 doubles opponents, 8-0. Junior Maria Binette and sophomore Madelyn Conrad won at No. 1 doubles as did juniors Julia Razook and Taranee Karimpour at No. 2.
