STEUBENVILLE - The Franciscan women's tennis team dropped a non-conference match to visiting Mount Union, 6-3, Tuesday afternoon.

• The Short Story: The Lady Barons took the early lead in doubles with a 8-2 win at No. 1, but Mount Union used two doubles wins and four singles wins to capture the match victory.
 
How it Happened 
• Senior Madelyn Conrad and junior Ana Victoria Haddad picked up the Lady Barons only win in doubles as they defeated their Purple Raider opponent 8-2 at No. 1 doubles.
• Freshman Caroline Picard earned the Lady Barons second point of the match as she rolled at No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-0.
• Freshman Estelle Leon took the first set 7-5 in her No. 3 singles match before earning the Lady Barons third point of the match with a 6-4 win.
