All-Time Series Against La Roche
  • Franciscan is 1-21 all-time against La Roche, with their only win coming on 1/18/16.
  • Last season's first meeting was not so close as La Roche would win 87-41. Danajah Sanders scored a game high 24 points and Nia Thomas added 21 to defeat Franciscan.
  • Franciscan almost pulled off the upset at home last season, as La Roche escaped with a 68-62 win. The game was tied at 60-60 with under three minutes to play, but an 8-2 run with four points by Jenna Cole and four points from Danajah Sanders put the Lady Barons away. Abby Baierl scored a game high 19 points, and Angela Starre pulled down 10 rebounds in the loss.
  • The lone win came in Steubenville on 1/18/16 as Sabrina McLin would lead all scorers with 33 points for La Roche, but Iliana Gonzales would lead the Lady Barons to victory with her team high 28 points.
Scouting Franciscan
  • The Lady Barons have been led all season by Sr. Guard Abby Baierl, she scored 24 points in the win against Alfred State and is averaging 15.6 ppg, 5th best in the AMCC.
  • Freshman Estelle Leon is making a case for Newcomer of the Year as she has averaged a double double thus far with 10.1 ppg and leading the AMCC with 12.0 rpg.

Scouting La Roche
  • The AMCC Head Coaches are looking quite smart at this point as they selected La Roche to win the conference. The Redhawks are an unbeaten 8-0 thus far, but four of those wins have been by 10 or fewer points with one game going into overtime.
  • The Redhawks have been a balanced attack offensively this season with all five starters averaging in double figures. Preseason Player of the Year Jennna Cole is leading the way at 12.4 ppg.
  • Rounding out the starting five are as follows: Jr. Ayanna Mazyck 12.4 ppg, So. Danajah Sanders 11.2 ppg, So. Dasja Anderson 10.6 ppg and Jr. Shaundrea Butler 10.3 ppg.
