Box Score STEUBENVILLE, OH -  The Lady Barons were down one point at half, but the Redhawks make the necessary adjustments to go on to a strong victory to remain unbeaten in AMCC play.

How it Happened

• Franciscan would win the tip and Angela Starre took it all the way for a quick bucket to start the Lady Barons off with a 2-0 lead. Both teams would be struggling offensively with numerous turnovers throughout the quarter. With 1:38 left in the quarter Abby Baierl made and and one layup to take the lead at 5-4. Baierl added another jumper to take a 7-4 lead into the second quarter.
• La Roche would go on a 5-0 run to take the lead over the first three minutes of the quarter. Estelle Leon made her first bucket and Baierl added another to give the Lady Barons the lead again. Leon would go on to add to more buckets in the quarter, as the game would be tied up three more times throughout the quarter. Dasja Anderson made a pair of free throws for La Roche to take a one point lead into the half.
• The second half started with a much quicker pace as La Roche would apply much more full court pressure in hopes to speed up the Lady Barons, and it worked. Less then four minutes into the half, Jenna Cole made a layup to give the Redhawks a seven point lead. The Lady Barons responded as Selena Coronis made a jumper, Clare McGahan made a jumper and Angela Starre made a pair of free throws to cut this one back to one point with 4:37 left. The Redhawks would heat up even more as they went on a 9-1 run to take a nine point lead and all the momentum into the 4th.
•  Abby Baierl opened up the quarter making a pair of free throws, and Estelle Leon made a jumper in the paint to cut this game back to five. Unfortunately this would be the closest the Lady Barons would get to the lead as Jenna Cole buried a three to put La Roche back in a commanding lead. Nia Thomas stretched the lead up to 11 points as she added a jumper. The Lady Barons would continue to battle, but La Roche hit free throws down the stretch to secure a 10 point win.

• Dasja Anderson scored a game high 24 points to lead all scorers.
• Angela Starre led the Lady Barons with 12 points, Baierl and Leon each added 11 points.
• Baierl led Franciscan with 9 rebounds and Coronis added 5 assists.
