Short Story: Quad Meet turned Tri-Meet due to weather, Lady Barons compete against Washington & Jefferson and Hiram, winning on Senior Day! Seniors Katie Cunningham, Maris Bey, and Katherine Kennedy were honored before the meet, and the Lady Barons welcomed back Abigail Robinson and Emily Reuwer from their studies abroad in Austria.

How it Happened

The Lady Barons took their first win of the day in the 200 yard medley, swam by Emily Reuwer, Colleen Farabaugh, Katie Cunningham, and Maris Bey. Colleen Farabaugh went on to win the Women's 1000 yard freestyle, in addition to winning the 200 yard IM. Katie Cunningham won the 200 yard butterfly, an event she has not competed in since high school. The Women's 50 yard freestyle was a tight race won by W&J's Sarah Marshall with a time of 26.96, with Emily Reuwer coming in hot with a 27.18 finish. Maris Bey and Evelyn Nick came in 2nd and 3rd in the 100 yard freestyle, with times of 1:02.6 and 1.01.03, respectively. Rebecca Poston stepped up to swim the the 200 freestyle, an event she has never swam before. Abigail Robinson, Katherine Kennedy, Angeline McGown, and Evelyn Nick swam in the final event of the day finishing 2nd in the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 2:06.65.
