HAMBURG, NY- The Lady Barons are heading to Hilbert after losing two hard fought, defensive games to La Roche and D'Youville, 1st and 3rd place in the AMCC. The road doesn't get any easier as Hilbert is second in the AMCC with an 8-2 record in conference play. The Hawks were on a nine game winning streak until they were downed by La Roche on Saturday in Pittsburgh.

All-Time Series Against Hilbert
- Franciscan is 12-11 all-time against Hilbert, with the Hawks winning the last seven meetings.
- The Hawks came to Steubenville last month and escaped with a tough fought victory. The Lady Barons were down by six heading into the 4th quarter, before the Hawks pulled away. Estelle Leon led the way for the Lady Barons as she scored 19 points and pulled down 13 rebounds in the loss. Taylor Corts scored 16 points to lead Hilbert.
- The last Franciscan win came in January of 2016. The trio of Iliana Gonzales, Sarah Schriner and Lucia Westrick combined for 38 of Franciscan's 49 points as they won 49-40.
Scouting Franciscan
- In her six games back this season, Angela Starre is averaging 15.5 ppg. She is coming off her biggest game of the season as she scored 23 points in the loss to D'Youville.
- Abby Baierl scored two points on Saturday, the fewest she has scored since she was held scoreless in her first game last season against Pitt.-Greensburg. Look for the Lady Barons leading scorer to come back strong against the Hawks.
- Estelle Leon remains the AMCC leader in rebounding at 11.0 rpg, she has eight 10+ rebounding games this season thus far.
Scouting Hilbert
- The Hawks offense is clearly led by the duo of Gawlak and Corts as they are #1 and #2 in scoring in the conference at 17.8 ppg and 17.3 ppg.
- Emily Gawlak is coming off of a career high 30 points on Saturday in the loss to La Roche as she shot 13-23 from the field.
- Three Hawks are in the top 6 in free throw percentage in the AMCC. Taylor Corts is third at 84.3%; Ashley Schroeder is 5th at 77.6%; Emily Gawlak is 6th at 76.3%
