Men's Tennis Sweeps Wabash, Wentworth

Franciscan 9, Wabash 0

ORLANDO, Fla. - Franciscan University resumed action on their spring break trip in Orlando, Fla. sweeping past Wabash College 9-0.

Singles
The Barons got off to a strong start in singles play with #1 singles player Gary Pierre picking up a 6-1, 6-1 victory. Luke Conrad followed suit, winning his #2 singles match 7-5, 6-0. #3 Singles player Billy Presume rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 victory. Giorgio Alexander, Aidan Howard, and Christian Cappello extend Franciscan's overall lead, picking up singles victories.

Doubles
The team of Pierre and Presume powered to the #1 doubles victory, winning 8-4. Conrad and Alexander won the #2 doubles match, 8-3. Joseph Seuss and Howard completed the sweep, winning the final doubles match 8-0.

Franciscan 9, Wentworth Institute of Technology 0

The Barons regrouped after their game one victory and defeated Wentworth Institute of Technology by a score of 9-0.

Singles
#1 singles player Gary Pierre picked up a 6-1, 6-2 victory to start the match. Luke Conrad won the #2 singles match, winning 6-4, 6-1. Billy Presume won a tight second set to win the #3 single matchup 6-1, 7-6. Giorgio Alexander, Aidan Howard, and Christian Cappello each added their second singles victories of the day.

Doubles
The team of Pierre and Presume got doubles action started, winning the #1 doubles match 8-2. In the #2 doubles matchup Conrad and Alexander rolled to an 8-5 victory. Joseph Seuss and Aidan Howard completed the game two sweep winning a tight doubles match up 8-7.

Who's Next?
After an off day, The Barons will close their spring break trip by taking on Transylvania University on March 13 at 3:00 p.m.
